Oxygen is a colourless, doorless and tasteless gas. It changes from a gas to a liquid at the temperature of -182.96 degree Celsius the liquid formed as a slightly bluish colour. Liquid oxygen can then be solidified or frozen at a temperature of -2 18.4 degree Celsius.

Physical properties of a gas

The gas has the following physical properties Easy to compress  Expand to fill containers  Occupy more space than solids or liquids

Physical properties of a liquid

The physical properties of a liquid are :  Almost in compressible Fixed volume  No fixed shape  Flow from a region of higher concentration to a region of lower concentration

Physical properties of a solid

The physical properties of a solid are as followed  • definite shape and volume •higher density •attractive forces are strong •diffusion into another solid is extremely slow  •high melting points
